2016 - The birth of the Shared ICT Service (SICTS)
Originally a service just focused on the London Borough of Brent, we sought partners to expand our IT service and create a Shared IT service.
In April 2016, the London Borough of Lewisham parted ways with its outsourced service and was integrated into SICTS.
2017 - Southwark joins
The London Borough of Southwark left their outsourced IT service and joined the Shared ICT Service in November of 2017.
2018 - Initial strategy
In 2018 we began work on delivering our first strategy.
2019 - Strategy goes live
In 2019 we launched our initial strategy, our first as a Shared ICT Service.
2020 - Design of restructure
In order to consolidate our expertise and further improve our service, we began to design a restructure in 2020.
2021 - Rebrand
Following a rebranding exercise in late 2020, we renamed to Shared Technology Services to better represent the varied nature of our work.
April 2021 - Lewisham’s 5 year anniversary
Lewisham council celebrated five years with the Shared Service.
May 2021 - Official Launch
On 10th May 2021, we officially launched as Shared Technology Services.
